I used to play AD&D 3rd Edition (with my own massive house rules) a LOT. I DM'd for many, many years, as well. Love the game. Unfortunately, I just don't have enough folks I know who would be interested in playing (and are roughly my age).
but no..lemme see if a few more people try to get it before i let you guys know..its older than that though...damn woody too bad you are in nebraska we need 1 more quality player and i am in oregon..geez..do you remember tomb of the lizard king??(1983)well i am rewriting this for 4th edition(not to get published..yet)its a good test run so far..too bad we dont get to play more often..if only i could get my wifey hooked..hmmm
i hear ya..i mostly use prewitten stuff and rewrite it..that way most of the work is done for me...so you have never ran the tomb of horrors??how about played in it??
Whenever I see any big red lizard I instantly think Tiamat. So that would be my guess, but that is just me.Played the pen and paper since shortly after 3rd edition came out and I really like 4th a lot, but I have less time to play than I used to and fewer people around to play with (too few).Currently I am nursing a mild addiction to D&D online....

I created my own, so I'm not familiar with Tomb of the Lizard King.

we play 4th now too.its a nice change but i miss some of the various loops that were abusable with past editions.oh.. the pic is dungeon #1 cover art.
