Leaving for perceived inequalities in the game, is that the reasoning for your departure or am I remembering this wrong? It seems that every absurd drop presents it's own challenges to solve and that most unfair advantages balance sometime by happening to everyone who plays.
Or is it just that the "new car" smell has already left your maps?
I got you buddy. We had that game all along, I felt I could miss a turn or two to see what it felt like to actually worry about something in that cake-walk of a game.
It's a cheap form of entertainment, loosen up with a random dice enima for a change of pace and try to enjoy it. Much like this game life isn't fair. So live in the moment, get your mojo working and have some fun.
I just took a royal buggering from a tank assault where I lost ALL my defenders to their single casualty... yea this game can really suck. So it goes.
I may be wrong, but I got the impression you were unhappy with Conquer Club because of the intrusive rules and moderation imposed over there. It seems like you're disappointed at this site for the opposite reason. Hopefully someday you'll find a gaming site that has things just right for you!
Keep in mind that this is a really new site, and I doubt the owners are making any real money yet (I only managed to spot 12 extreme members on the leaderboard). My guess is that these guys run the site in their spare time while maintaining other full-time jobs. They've already got a great site going, and hopefully it will get better over time. If you want to hear about an incompetently run game site, ask me about pickteams sometime. At least the admins have fixed some of the most immediate problems by appointing a fairly sizeable group of moderators.
Things will get better over time, and I think you're a great benefit to this site. I hope you'll reconsider leaving, or at least consent to coming back after a couple months once you've gotten past some of your frustrations.
I am with Doc on this one. I hate to see you leave. You came up with a lot of good ideas and were a great contributer to the website. Like Doc said I hope you reconsider or take a break and come back later.
Heavens no, Doc Brown...you're definitely wrong. My reason for leaving ConquerClub has nothing at all to do with the moderators (who I think do a great job). It has to do with the site's owner's reaction (actually, lack of reaction) to a very serious incident that happened on his site.
As to this site, I agree that it may APPEAR that they're taking steps. However, based on the personal PMs I have exchanged with the site administrator here, I am utterly convinced he is motivated to do the least amount possible to get by, while hoping to make money. For your sakes, I hope that's not true. But I've really seen nothing at all to dissuade me from that belief.
