I still have my grips about this version (namely, the prices).
ANYWAY, speaking of the boardgame itself (pick one NOT the original, which is horribly imbalanced).
Which power do you play best as?
Just thought it would be interesting to know.
a buck sixty a month is too much for basic mambership?
He was referring to the prices of units in-game, not the mebership prices.
You still could've just answered the question. o.o
And yes, I meant the unit prices. But that's irrelevant.
From what I know, I like playing as the US. The US can take its time, but its actions play heavily in the outcome of the game.
I can't say I have a best country at this point - it keeps changing. When I first started on this site, I couldn't lose as Germany, and couldn't win as Japan. That's changed (a lot).
As for Allies - I just don't have enough experience here at UK to speak to intelligently about that role - I have only played as UK 2-3 times (across 50+ games). I'm enjoying Russia a lot now, as it really is a defense-first country (with some smart counter-attacks). Frankly, it takes a lot more effort and adjustment to play Russia well, and not die in 5 rounds.
The US is fine, but again, I keep changing how I play them - I've been aggressive in Europe, aggressive in the Pacific, built a factory in Asia, played cat and mouse with the Japanese fleet, etc .. Frankly, I just enjoy trying different ways to win, based upon how others play.
If there was a "one best strategy", it wouldn't be fun at all to play.
For me, Germany and Russia were always the most fun to play because they were the most involved. The other three are all rather slow-moving entities for the most part.
in the board game I like playing as everyone except UK. Most success as USA, especially because of the research of technolgies.
They can reseach and if they are lucky to land bombers and subs....look out!
will this version introduce reseach technologies?
