Game Site Recommendations

I used to play a lot on gametableonline.com - they have a true to the table version of Axis & Allies. They have many other good board games as well.

I really like the simultaneous turns in BattleForces. It really adds an element of surprise to the game compared to taking your turn sequentially and being able to respond to everything the previous player did.

My one complaint is that I feel like I'm waiting all the time for others to go. I appreciate not having to play a 5 hour game out in one go but stretching it into 10 minutes a day is stretching it too much.

Does anybody have any recommendations for similar games on other sites?

Two things:

First, play 10 games at a time, in 6-12 player games, it usually goes the whole 24 hours before you get to take another turn. If you play 3-5 player games, you might get to take 2, or even 3 turns in a day! There's even times when you're playing a 2-3 player game and everyone is on so it goes quick. Also, if you want to go for quick games, create your own game, and set the time limits for turns lower than 24 hours.

Second, ConquerClub.com is a great free with pay option site that is Risk-based
(attack with 3 dice, defend with 2, gain cards, turnin cards for dudes,
etc etc). That is a very popular world famous site.

i wonder why did you stop playing on game table?i tried it and my comp kept crashingalthough the game looked great.

..rocks. Although, it freezes up towards the end, once you go in for a final attack. Planes just disappear XD

I don't know of any other good sites, though. Conquer club is...well, it's risk. Not the same thing at all.

I don't like conquer club. You have to pay to get in the faster games. This is the best board game site that I've found. If ur looking for a good fantasy game i recomend 4story. Another site you might find worthwhile is games.asobrain.com. They host a Settlers of Catan type game, as well as one based on Carcassonne (sp?). Maybe not quite as good as war games like A&A, but it's a pretty decent site. The games are all in real time, and there are bots there, so you can usually get through games in a matter of a half hour or so.
