I dont know if u have ever seen this.
I'm puzzled.
On a 4 Human Hex Map,29333-29308 id, Last turn I moved my fleet as follow:
2 carriers, 3 destroyers and 3 transports move two cases.
I left 3 sub and 4 fighters untouched to block any air or naval movement from others.
During the replay, no blockade by any aircraft, no battle.
My fighters are two cases from my carriers, not blocked.
During "air craft landing", they disappear. They dont crash, they disappear!
Any idea?
I am in this game and clem asked me to watch the replay closely to see if I could spot anything. I can't, it's just like he said. There is no reason why they shouldn't land on his carriers from what I can tell. And like he said, there is no "planes crashed in sea zone whatever" message in the play recap, and they don't "fade out" like crashing planes do, they simply instantaneously dissappear when the aircraft landing phase begins.
The only thing I can possibly think of is that when you don't move a plane you don't get that landing pad to place... maybe there is a bug related to this. Still, it's definitely a bug, they are not blocked and should be landing on any available legitmate landing spot within their range, which his 2 carriers definitely qualify as.

Yep, this is the explanation, IMO.
I've never encountered it myself. Thankfully!
I'll add that to our list of items to experiment with in our Test Game!
Sorry guys, I found them.
The fact is that during the replay they had just disappeared as InGeneral confirmed.
But when I actually started my turn, they re-appeared 4 cases from their initial place, on one of my island.
So it's just the animation of them landing that was missing and caused my shock.
But perhaps u will be able to recreate this in your lab.
See u
Ah. That's interesting. I have noticed in the Hex game that units traveling in the spaces touching the boundaries will occasionally disappear and reappear a short time later. I just consider it to be blind spots on my radar dish. :)
