I'm sure doc will consider it for the next team tournament! Not sure how practical 3 player teams are, there are already problems with 2 player teams as it is.
If the Heads Up tournament goes well, the next heads up one I run will be on the standard world map. No teams on that, you have only yourself to blame. :D
I've also tossed around the idea of another free for all tournament. Maybe 4-6 player games on Standard World. Top two finishers advance to the next round. If I did something along those lines, I'd probably insist on no private chat. All communications would take place in full view of everyone just to prevent unfair teaming arrangments. My other thought was to have another A&A tournament with set teams. I'll work on ideas once the IO tournament gets close to finishing.
I'd reccomend doing the free for all as a non rated game, since top 2 will still go on and it will remove the temptation to bend the rules to try to win
ok, maybe 3 team tournament is harder to implement but standard world free for all with no truces/alliances should be easier to get done. it would be quite interesting too.

what's wrong with 3 team games?
- alliances/truces would be disallowed.
and if we are going with standard world then no alliances/truces should be allowed as well. it would make the tournament much more interesting.
How do you propose to police this in an odd player/odd team number game?
